BIOGRAPHY
The Pop Art of Beaman Cole is art - Where Food is Muse. His art is for
anyone who eats and likes the look of foods. Joie de vivre is reflected from each excitingly decadent canvas he paints. With masterful draftsmanship and bravura
with the brush, Cole introduces original style and fresh perspectives to the worlds of Art and Food.
Cole's paintings have been
exhibited in galleries from Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Carmel, California and in shows such as Art Expo- NYC plus many other group shows. His work is in corporate collections such as Medimmune
Corporation, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and the Derryfield Country Club. International Artist magazine called Cole, one of the, "Master Painters of the World" in 2004, issue #39. He is a member of the
"Oil Painters of America". Cole's work was featured at the New Hampshire Institute of Art's Biennial '97.
Cole believes in benevolence and supports such charitable causes as :
Aids Response Seacoast, The American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, and the Jimmy Fund.
Cole was born and raised near Troy, New York.
His parents, noticing his precocious talent to draw, put him into art
classes when he was eight. After drawing for one year his instructor moved Cole on to oil painting. Cole studied painting for almost three years. By age nine Cole had
his first group show and by eleven his first solo showing. Cole and his wife moved to New Hampshire in 1984. Cole opened his own studio in 1994 embarking on his art career
and has been painting ever since. The artist and his wife added to their family by adopting baby girls from China in 2001 and in 2003. The artist and his family live in southern New Hampshire.
Cole's own personal foodie passion lies primarily with breads. "I've been
baking breads and making pizza for over 20 years. I'm a pretty serious, "breadhead" although I really enjoy cooking in general. It is a greatpleasure to
design and make your own delicious breads. It's a lot like the creative work of painting. I was given a gift to create. I hope others will find great pleasure and joy in the art I make." - Beaman Cole
